Created in 1924, the name “Kranebet” comes from the word “kraneweta” which in the Cimbrian language means “bitter grains” which was the name for the Juniper plant in ancient pre-alpine times.
The proprietary recipe is a distillate based primarily from Juniper berries with other botanicals including gentian roots, roman absinthe, coriander and quassia bark. A copper pot still with bain-marie system is used to maximize the all-natural aromatics and flavors of the botanicals.
